Hey, when that to-do list gets overwhelming and your best intentions have all gone pear-shaped, here's a quick productivity tip, to turn your day around. In minutes.
I also explain why affirmations don’t work!
What this week's episode now (it's under 5 minutes)!
And go and have yourself a fabulous day.
Why do you do what you do?
This week's episode is all about that.
Plus how looking at what makes you mad can help you identify what really matters to you.
If you know what your values are and you communicate them, you'll never worry about unsubscribes or people unfollowing you again.
Email me at [email protected] and tell me what YOU stand for.
Have a super week.
It's up there with self-doubt, overwhelm and fear of failure.
Like an alien that invades our brain.
Sabotaging our day. Ruining our to-do lists. Destroying confidence.
Let it loose in your thinking for 5 minutes and you'll end up abandoning your best-laid plans and spacing out on Netflix instead. Or raiding the fridge.
We all feel it. Even the most successful people we admire feel it.
So what can you do when it invades?
Watch this week's episode and find out how you can defeat this enemy. Or at least gag it!
Go on... it might just be the best 8 minutes you've spent today!
Oh, and stay watching until the end as there is one surprising tip you've probably not thought of before and it relates to a green-eyed monster!
Hands up who has felt like quitting this year?
Or even the last 24 hours?
My advice is.... drum roll... don't!
And if you need more convincing, watch this. A 2-step approach to dealing with the 'I want to give up' feeling.
(I also share a few veeeery personal stories of when I wanted to quit)
P.S. I've been working away on a secret new project which I'll let you know about soon. Plus I've got a new domain name.... go check out merilyn.com!
Which also means I have a new email address. So to stop me accidentally going into your spam folder (heaven forbid), you might want to 'white list' me and add me to your contacts.
And yes, it'll be me emailing you, so if you hit reply and ask me a question (anything), I'll answer! I'd love to hear from you.
Um. I've got a confession to make.
Many of you call me a productivity expert. Which is kinda funny because I've been more of a procrastination expert these days.
So I shot a little video to tell you about it.
And a few things you can do when that 'p' word strikes.
Every day, around 7.30am, I take my golden retriever for a walk. He knows the route so well by now. We have a favourite park where I let him off the lead and as he runs he looks like a dog in a commercial... hair blowing in the wind and if we are lucky, sunlit from behind. Another wow-moment I smile at every single day.
I love these walks. As it's my podcast-time too. Every single day I listen to a podcast or two.
Well, guess what? The other day I was interviewed by the fabulous Daire Paddy on all things productivity. And oh how I love love love her accent.
Go listen. It's a goodie.

A few months ago my mum died.
A month earlier the doctors found a huge cancer lymphoma in her head.
It was unexpected, but she died peacefully and she didn’t have to suffer for months.
I made it to her bedside 10 minutes before she died. The nurses said she was waiting for me, even though she had slipped into unconsciousness earlier that day. I live 4 hours drive away. I said goodbye and thanked her for being my mum, and a tear fell from her eye before she literally took her last breath. It was surreal and I felt like I was in some strange movie. But it was very, very real.
Why do I share this story? Well apart from it explaining why I’ve not published any blog posts for a looooong time, I felt inspired to ask you:
‘Do you know what you are called to do and be?' And a more urgent question, 'Are you living it?'
You see, my mum knew her calling from a very young age.
Whilst packing up her things I found notebooks full of stories and scribbles of her life. Things I...
